§ 25-272. Requirement for authorized physician.

The licensee of a tattoo establishment must have, during all business hours, access to a medical provider/service under the oversight of a licensed physician or osteopath authorized to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine as set forth in the Illinois Medical Practice Act of 1987 (225 ILCS 60/1 et seq.) or any amendment thereof. The licensee must annually provide a statement to the city listing the name, address, telephone number and specialty of each medical provider/service and physician/osteopath the licensee has access to. The statement shall be accompanied by a verification addressed to the city from the medical provider/service, physician or osteopath confirming the same.
